Yet another bogus UPS email, wanting you to open the “invoice” attachment (invoice_ups.exe), which is really some type of malicious software. Please DO NOT double-click on any attachment with an “EXE” at the end unless you know exactly who it’s from.

because the recipient’s address is not correct.
Please print out the invoice copy attached and collect the package at our office

Here’s another bogus email trying to get you to open some kind of malicious software masquerading as an official email from the “Internet Service Provider Consorcium” (sic). Just delete it or report it to spamcop.net if you’re a member there.

Here’s a bogus email I received, purporting to offer me an editing job. Please DO NOT send your personal information to these people.

We offer a part time job on your computer.

Job Description:

We will provide you with the texts for our employees with the important information and you will correct the texts as an english speaking person and send them back to us.

Salary:

We don’t have a fixed salary for this vacancy. We will pay you $7.00 for every 1Kb of the corrected text. You will get paid at the END of each month. Every month your salary will be different as it depends on your activity.

I received an ad from tigerdirect.com today with a sale on terabyte hard drives. Only thing is their idea of terabyte  and my idea don’t agree. Their idea of a terabyte is smaller than a floppy drive. 

I downloaded the Google Chrome beta web browser. So far I like it. I’d like to see the back/forward buttons separated a bit because they’re small and if separate would provide more contrast and be easier to find, like the refresh button.
